In switch, state will build high-speed rail to San Jose first

In a turn of events, San Jose / Bay Area residents recently received some great news. The new high-speed rail will build the system's first track between San Jose and Bakersfield. Hopefully this can ease some of the traffic issues, as well as pollution. Personally, I am still eagerly awaiting the "Hyperloop" but this is a huge step in the right direction. What are your thoughts?

Next group of BART stations in Silicon Valley to include private development

For anyone that has had to deal with the morning (or evening) commute through the Silicon Valley, the new Bart extensions can't get here quick enough. Unfortunately we are still a few years out, but the VTA (Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority) announced that along with the new proposed stations, they are looking to also create communities around the stops by building private housing developments. This could be a major step towards integrating public transit for a greener future. What are your thoughts?
