It is pretty well known by now that the Santa Cruz and Monterey counties are experiencing somewhat of a housing crisis. The current median home prices are $750,000 and $628,000, and there are no signs of it settling down anytime soon. Last Wednesday in Santa Cruz, at the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership's (MBEP) first ever State of the Region conference, the discussion was about potential possibilities and solutions to solve this very problem. One of the options they discussed was allowing taller buildings in Santa Cruz in order to create more apartments. How do you feel about this?
